TOWN HALL

Groundwork: Why It Matters

Town Hall is more than just a building—it’s the front door of our local government. It’s where residents go for answers, services, and connection. Our community deserves a Town Hall that reflects our values: professional, welcoming, and focused on service. From the start of my first term, I promised to improve the experience of both residents and employees at Town Hall.

Promises Made, Promises Kept

Over the last four years, we’ve made important strides:

  • Resident Experience: Town Hall is now a place where residents feel valued, heard, and prioritized. Staff serve the community with professionalism, friendliness, and prompt attention.
  • Employee Work Environment: We improved staff workspaces, supporting employees so they can bring their best selves to work each day.
  • Listening to Leaders: I promised to listen to other elected officials and consider their ideas for improvement. Together, we’ve worked as a body to strengthen processes and build better public space.
  • Town Hall Remodel Planning: We began the work of carefully studying the Town Hall remodel, identifying needs, and ensuring all voices were at the table. This project has been deeply studied and is ready for the next step.

Looking Ahead

The Town Hall remodel is our biggest unfinished project, and it’s time to move from study to action. If re-elected, I will:

  • Hold public forums on remodel concepts so residents can share input.
  • Provide clear education about funding options, so the community understands the tradeoffs and choices.
  • Lead Council in finding the “sweet spot” for agreement—a solution that is financially wise, community-centered, and creates a welcoming space for meetings, events, and court.

With thoughtful planning and collaboration, we can achieve a Town Hall that reflects the pride and spirit of Mountain View.

Gratitude for Our Staff and Residents

I’m grateful for our Town employees, who consistently serve with professionalism and care, and for residents and Council colleagues who’ve contributed ideas and input to this process. Building a better Town Hall is a shared effort—and together, I believe we can create a public space that truly belongs to all of us.
